The IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) annual meeting held in Denver, Colorado was attended by two CBI Northwest Arkansas Team members, Executive Business Brokers Dave Godwin and Carol Gresham. These two went to the conference to gain insight into industry trends, tips, tools and processes, and knowledge about the international business broker association.
Dave was awarded the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) certification through IBBA and has been working with CBI Team since the beginning of 2020. This was Dave’s second time to attend the annual conference and he went with a plan to learn more about how he can help business owners sell, buy and grow businesses. Dave attended classes focused on Manufacturing business sales, Hospitality businesses and other major industries. After learning from some of the top producing business brokers across the nation Dave said, “It was a great experience for me, and I’m pleased to say The CBI Team deal processes were reinforced throughout my research.”
Carol has held an Arkansas Real Estate license for over 35 years. She went to the conference with the goal of attending seminars and breakout sessions to expand her knowledge on business brokerage to better serve the sellers and buyers she works with. Carol was also pleasantly surprised to see more professional women are coming into this industry. Of the 700+ attendees this year about twenty percent of the brokers at the conference were women, one of the highest turn outs in many years. Carol said, “I learned many new tips and tricks and felt it was well worth my time, I’m glad I attended!”
